The Ready Campaign’s 2023 National Preparedness Month theme is “Take Control in 1, 2, 3”. The campaign will focus on preparing older adults for disasters, specifically older adults from communities that are disproportionately impacted by the all-hazard events, which continue to threaten the nation.
There are resources on the ready.gov website to help with preparing. Think about those people in your life, family, friends, neighbors that may need that extra help to be prepared for a disaster.
This is also a good time for you to go through your own disaster preparedness kits to see if things need to be rotated like batteries or food items.
