Beach Cities Health District Donation

Thank you BCHD for your recent donation of

Bio Hazard Bins.

This has been on our list to find a easy, a safe way to dispose of bio hazard materials during medical treatment. We created some baggies with bio waste written on them but it presents many problems, but the main issues are, how to safely get all the waste in it and sealing the bag with a soiled glove. We had not resolved a method yet; that is where BCHD comes in. They reached out to us and offered bio hazard bins for our CERT equipment. This will provide us with a save easy way to dispose of our bio waste.

Redondo Beach CERT Team

Your Redondo Beach CERT Team will be attending the Station 2 – Fire Service Day open house on May 11th.

We will have activity books for the kids (while supplies last) and disaster preparedness information for all. We will also have class information to share. Come meet the team and find out more about the RB CERT Team.

The Spring CERT Class starts March 7th and runs through May 4th.
