NEW BUSINESS:

President Lisa Burke expressed gratitude for the assistance that she received from Board members and other alumni members who helped at the RBCERT booth at the Public Safety Fair, October 2, 2005. Two hundred applications for RBCERT February class were passed out at the booth.

Fire Department Corner:

Capt. Rick Martinez was pleased with the RBCERTAA booth at the Public Safety Fair

Per Capt. Rick Martinez, the phone tree is a dead issue. The Redondo Beach Fire Department

has contracted with a CALL OUT company which can contact all members within ten minutes

for a $50.00 per month retainer fee.

Per Mike Grady, the pink slip for the Jeep is registered to RBCERTAA. The trailer is registered for five years. The trailer is insured by whatever insurance covers the driver who is towing the van. No insurance is required for the trailer.

Alisa Zells made a motion to transfer the registration address to Fire Station 1and to provide the Secretary with a copy of the registration and pink slip. The motion was seconded by Peter De Portillo. All board members voted unanimously for the motion.

Mike Grady also volunteered to pull the RBCERTAA trailer if his schedule allowed.

Per Mike Grady, the $14.95 monthly payment for the web site needs to be taken over by someone else, because he is no longer a board member. Marcelle McCullough will research the proper procedure for making the monthly payment to Yahoo.

Mike Grady requested to borrow two backboards from the RBCERTAA trailer for Mike Gradyís volunteer EMT job. Gary Horn made a motion to store two RBCERTAA backboards in Mike Gradyís

care.Peter De Portillo seconded the motion. Eleven board members voted yes.

Regarding Mike Gradyís request for RBCERTAA members to attend the block party at 2200 block of Curtis, Redondo Beach, Noble Smith volunteered to coordinate a group of RBCERT alums to provide information to the block party guests on October 23, 2005.

Request for RBCERTAA to man barricades on Halloween in the Riviera Village was referred to Officer Mike Diehr, Redondo Beach Police Department. Per Capt. Rick Martinez, RBCERTAA is recognized by

City of Redondo Beach for excellence.

Per Lisa Burke, the day of RBCERTAA meetings will remain on the first Tuesday of every month.

Discussion is pending regarding the RBCERTAA request to be a recipient of a 5% DAY at Whole Foods Market, Redondo Beach. Mike Grady suggested that we do put a Whole Foods sticker on the RBCERTAA trailer as we had promised, when we received a 5% award of money from them previously.

Gary Horn made a motion to place a Whole Foods sticker on the RBCERTAA trailer due to a prior commitment to Whole Foods for their generous 5% award of money to our group previously. Peter De Portillo seconded the motion.

Michael Vaccaro and Bob Heil to draft a policy for sponsorship to approve or amend examples of stickers on the RBCERTAA trailer.
